Refunds & Cancellations
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Shhukriya handles two kinds of payments: tips from guests to restaurant staff, and subscription fees paid by restaurants. They follow different rules, set out below.
1. Tips from guests
- Tips are voluntary gratuities. Once a tip has been settled to the staff member's account it is final and cannot be refunded, because the money has already reached the person it was meant for.
- Failed or interrupted transactions where money was debited are reversed automatically by the payment aggregator, typically within 5 to 7 working days, without you needing to do anything.
- If you paid twice by mistake, or entered the wrong amount, write to us within 48 hours of the payment. Where the tip has not yet been settled to staff we will reverse it. Where it has already been settled, we will put you in touch with the restaurant, but we cannot recall money from a staff member's account.
2. Restaurant subscriptions
- New restaurants may cancel within the first 14 days of their first paid subscription and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused period of that charge.
- After the first 14 days, subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. No further charges are made after cancellation; amounts already billed for the current period are not refunded.
- Setup fees cover onboarding work already performed and are not refundable once onboarding has been completed.
- If we terminate a restaurant's service for reasons other than breach of our terms, we refund the unused portion of the current billing period pro-rata.
3. How to ask
Write to hello@shhukriya.com or call +91 97739 90794 with the payment reference (shown on your payment confirmation or invoice). We acknowledge refund requests within 48 hours. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically arrive within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank.
